Continentals blank Utica in men's soccer

The Hamilton College men's soccer team posted a 3-0 win over the Utica Pioneers Wednesday evening at Utica's Gaetano Stadium.

Seven players recorded a goal or an assist for the Continentals, who improved to 6-4-1 on the season.

Mike Lubelczyk '17 opened the scoring in the 19th minute, netting his third goal of the fall. Alex Cadet '17 and Killian Clancy '18 picked up assists on the play. Clancy's assist was the second of his career; Cadet is now tied for the team lead with three.

The Continentals added a second goal 11 minutes into the second half; Aidan Wood '20 scored off an assist by Jefri Schmidt '20 (the first of his career).

Matt Cerveny '18 netted his first career goal to wrap up the scoring with Rowan Myers '19 picking up the assist – his first – on the play.

A pair of goaltenders shared the shutout for Hamilton; Harris Pollack '17 played the first 50 minutes and turned away three shots. Linds Cadwell '20 stopped both shots he faced in the final 39:55.

Matthew Milograno made six saves in net for the Pioneers, who fell to 2-10.

Hamilton is back in action Saturday, hosting Bowdoin in a 1:30 p.m. NESCAC game at Love Field.
