Conner Rood ’23 is the men’s basketball team’s January Athlete of the Month.

Conner averaged 12.3 points per game as Hamilton won six of its nine contests in January. He was selected the NESCAC men’s basketball player of the week on Jan. 30 after he averaged 16.3 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in three wins. The guard started the week with 13 points, nine boards, six assists and two steals in a 67-57 non-conference victory at SUNY Polytechnic on Jan. 24. He went 17-for-17 at the free-throw line and finished with 21 points in an 80-75 NESCAC win against Trinity on Jan. 27. Conner tied a career high with 12 rebounds for his second double-double this season and handed out six assists. He contributed 15 points, nine boards and three assists in an 87-86 conference triumph against Wesleyan on Jan. 28. Conner is fifth in the NESCAC this season with 3.3 assists per game.
