Sam Karlson '23 is the Hamilton women's swimming and diving December Athlete of the Month.

Sam nearly swept the sprint freestyle events as the Continentals finished second out of 10 teams at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational in early December. She took first place in the 100- and 200-yard free and was runner-up in the 50 free. In a dual meet at Division I Colgate later in the month, Sam captured first place in the 100 free and helped Hamilton win the 200 free relay. She anchored the relay with a 50-yard split time of 23.80 seconds, which was by far the fastest of the meet.
