Leah Basel ’24 is the women’s indoor track & field team’s December Athlete of the Month.

Leah was runner-up in the pentathlon with 2,606 points at the Utica Holiday Classic on Dec. 10. She took first place in the shot put at 8.28 meters (27 feet, 2 inches) and was second in the long jump with a leap of 4.92 meters (16 feet, 1.75 inches) and the 800-meter run with a time of 2:43.65. Leah finished third in the 60-meter hurdles in 10.29 seconds and tied for third in the high jump with a height of 1.35 meters (4 feet, 5.25 inches).
