Sam Karlson ’23 is the women’s swimming and diving team’s December Athlete of the Month. Sam helped the Continentals finish second out of eight teams in the 2021 Division III Connecticut Cup Championships on December 4. She captured first place in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle with times of 24.33 and 52.64 seconds, respectively. Sam’s time in the 50 was a personal record and moved her up to fourth place on the team’s Top 10 Times list. She was also third in the 200 free (1:58.12) and anchored the 200 medley relay with a split time of 24.15 seconds.
