Josh Swearingen joined the Hamilton College athletic department staff as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Assistant Director of Blood Fitness Center in August 2023. He had most recently worked in the private sector, where he owned and operated a strength and conditioning facility for athletes ranging from grade school through the collegiate level. His athletes have seen tremendous success in their careers including numerous conference championships, all-America and all-conference honors, state championships, and a national champion. He also recently spent time interning with the Syracuse University football team.Â
Josh is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is CPR/AED certified. He holds six other fitness and nutrition related certifications, including Corrective Exercise and Fitness Nutrition, that date back to 2015. He is a graduate of Alfred State College and resides in Marcellus with his wife Jen, and their two kids, Aria and Braxton.
