James McGlynn joined Hamilton College as Assistant Sports Information Director in October 2025 after serving the previous four years in a similar role at Le Moyne College.
While at Le Moyne, McGlynn was the primary communications contact for the Dolphins’ men’s soccer, women’s basketball, baseball and women’s tennis programs. He also served as the SID for the women’s soccer and softball programs between 2021-2023.
McGlynn helped direct the athletics department’s marketing efforts during Le Moyne’s transition from Division II to Division I ahead of the 2023-24 academic year.
He traveled with and promoted the Le Moyne women’s basketball team during its run to the 2024 NEC Championship game and its berth to the Postseason WNIT, capturing and producing content for social media platforms as well as writing feature stories, game recaps and previews for the athletics website and crafting game notes for the broadcasts.
McGlynn also directed the social media strategy during the Le Moyne baseball team’s run to the 2023 NCAA Division II East Super Regional.
A native of Liverpool, New York, McGlynn received his bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College in 2020.
