Dalton Maska joined the Hamilton football coaching staff as an assistant in April 2024. He is responsible for the offensive line.
Maska previously coached at Hiram College since 2020. He was hired as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator and served in that role for two seasons. Maska became the offensive coordinator in 2022 and was promoted to associate head coach/offensive coordinator in 2023. He coached three all-North Coast Athletic Conference selections and the team's points per game average jumped from 17.0 in 2021 to 25.7 his final year.
Maska was on the coaching staff at SUNY Cortland in 2018 and 2019. He was hired by the Red Dragons as their tight ends and assistant offensive line coach before becoming the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator his second year. Maska coached one American Football Coaches Association all-American and six all-Empire 8 Conference team honorees. In 2019 Cortland was the Empire 8 co-champions with a 5-1 record and finished 8-3 overall. The Red Dragons ended up 7-3 in 2018.
Maska started his professional coaching career in Fort Collins, Colo., at Fossil Ridge High School as the offensive line coach in 2017. He was a graduate assistant on the Alfred University coaching staff in 2015 and 2016. He was part of the 2016 Empire 8 Coaching Staff of the Year when Alfred won the conference title, advanced to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals and posted a record of 12-1. The Saxons went 8-3 in 2015.
Maska was a member of the offensive line at Alfred where he played for current Hamilton Head Coach Dave Murray from 2011 to 2014. He was a team captain his senior year. The Saxons went 27-15 and won two Eastern College Athletic Conference bowl games during Maska's career.
