Humphreys '21 places 94th at NCAA women's cross country meet

Hamilton College's Brigit Humphreys '21 finished in 94th place out of 277 athletes in the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday.

Humphreys posted a time of 22:50.4 on the 6-kilometer course. She was at 3:39 after the first kilometer, 11:05.1 at the halfway mark and 15:17.9 after four kilometers. Ithaca College's Parley Hannan was the individual race winner in 20:53.8.

Humphreys earned her spot in the NCAA championship by finishing 11th out of 274 women with a personal-record time of 22:42.2 last weekend at the Atlantic Region Championship hosted by St. Lawrence University.
