Women's cross country places sixth at St. Lawrence invitational

The Hamilton College Continentals finished in sixth place out of 20 women's teams at St. Lawrence University's 28th Annual Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Hamilton's Brigit Humphreys '21 took 14th place out of 220 finishers with a personal-record time of 23:36.8 on the 6-kilometer course. Natasha Lane '21 was next for the Continentals in 27th place with a time of 24:06.1 and Liza Greene '22 followed closely behind in 29th place and a collegiate-best time of 24:09.2.

Haley Driscoll '21 crossed the finish line in 32nd place with a career-best time of 24:13.3 and Katie Jenkinson '23 was 37th in 24:20.3. Courtney Brunet '20 landed in 60th place with a time of 24:51.8 and Katie Cronin '21 rounded out Hamilton's top seven in 80th place in 25:14.2.

The Continentals racked up 139 team points. Nationally ranked No. 25 University of Rochester captured the team title with 59 points and No. 21 Rochester Institute of Technology was runner-up with 92. Ithaca College finished third with 108 points and St. Lawrence was a close fourth with 111.

Hamilton hosts its Short Course Tuneup on Saturday, Oct. 26. The first race begins at 11 a.m.
