Hamilton College finished seventh out of 16 teams at the 2019 University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational at Genesee Valley Park in Rochester, N.Y. on Saturday.
Brigit Humphreys '21 led the team in 24th place of 218 runners with a career-best 6-kilometer time of 23:46. Genny Corcoran of nationally ranked No. 6 SUNY Geneseo came in first place with a time of 21:50.1.
Natasha Lane '21 came across the finish line next for the Continentals in 50th place with a time of 24:30.5. Liza Greene '22 crossed the finish line in 55th place with a time of 24:38.6. Courtney Brunet '20 followed in 62nd place with a personal-record time of 24:45.7, and Katie Jenkinson '23 finished in 70th place with a time of 25:03.5. Katie Cronin '21 finished in 73rd place with a time of 25:04.4, and Haley Driscoll '21 rounded out Hamilton's top seven with a time of 25:18.9, which was good for 80th place.
Hamilton -- No. 7 in the preseason Atlantic Region rankings -- registered 223 team points. Division I Cornell University captured the team title with 41 points and Geneseo finished second with 59. No. 15 Rochester finished just behind in third with 60 points and Rochester Institute of Technology finished fourth with 97. Ithaca College was fifth with 131 points and Division I Niagara finished sixth with 221.
The Continentals will race again on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Williams College Purple Valley Classic at Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown, Mass.
