Women's cross country places third in own short course invite

The Hamilton College Continentals finished third out of 10 teams in the 2019 Hamilton Short Course Cross Country Invitational on the College's campus on Saturday morning.

Brigit Humphreys '21 led the Continentals in fifth place of 151 finishers with a 4-kilometer time of 15:39.5. Parley Hannan of Ithaca College came in first with a time of 14:41.9.

Liza Greene '22 came in next for the Continentals in 19th place with a time of 16:09.7. Natasha Lane '21 crossed the finish line in 29th place with a time of 16:17.3. Courtney Brunet '20 followed close behind in 33rd place with a time of 16:20.8. Katie Cronin '21 finished in 35th place with a time of 16:24.3. Haley Driscoll '21 was directly behind Cronin in 36th place with a time of 16:25.1. Liv Holbrook '23 rounded out Hamilton's top seven with a time of 16:39.8, which was good for 47th place.

Hamilton College, which is at No. 7 in the Atlantic Region preseason rankings, registered 112 team points. Division II Roberts Wesleyan College captured the team title with 27 team points and Ithaca came in second with 44. The Bombers received votes in the Division III Top 35 preseason coaches poll.

The Continentals race again on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational in Rochester, N.Y.
