Two women qualify for NCAA indoor track & field championships

Hamilton College's Cat Berry '19 (Mansfield, Ohio/Western Reserve Academy) and Mary Lundin '19 (Clarks Summit, Pa./Scranton Preparatory School) will compete in the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Massachusetts, on Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9.

Berry participated in the NCAA outdoor championships in 2017 and 2018 but this will be her first appearance at the indoor meet. She is one of 20 athletes in both the 200-meter and 400-meter dash and owns the team record in both events. The preliminary heats of the 400 meters begin at 5:40 p.m. on Friday and the 200-meter prelims start at 6:50. 

Lundin is in the national meet for the first time in her collegiate career. She is one of 20 athletes in the 800-meter run, and her personal-best time is just two-tenths of a second off the team record. The 800-meter prelims start at 6:20 p.m. on Friday.
