Three Continentals go undefeated at home women’s tennis invite

The Hamilton College Continentals won four of five women's doubles matches and 18 women's singles matches at their own 2019 Hamilton Tennis Invitational on Oct. 5 and 6. The Continentals played singles against Ithaca College, Union College and the University of Rochester and took on Ithaca in doubles.

Sarah Bargamian '22, Lauren Holtzman '23 and Kat Roberts '22 each went 3-0 in singles action and 1-0 in doubles.

Bargamian first defeated Ithaca's Sarah Sposito 8-4, followed with an 8-6 win over Rochester's Yaya Wang and finished her singles schedule with a dominating 8-1 win over Union's Rayna Katzman. Bargamian and Holtzman teamed up for an 8-4 doubles victory against Zoe Davis and Rebecca Andrews from Ithaca.

Holtzman defeated her opponents from Ithaca and Union 8-3, and she posted an 8-1 victory over Rochester's Camila Ruiz Vega.

Roberts cruised in three singles matches with an 8-1 win over Ithaca's Alex Dyszewski, 8-2 win over Union's Sophie Brown and 8-3 win over Rochester's Abbey Reinhart. Roberts joined Savi Roberts '23 in doubles, and the duo downed Ithaca's Brianna Ruback and Dyszewski 8-3. Savi Roberts also picked up singles wins over Ithaca's Andrews 8-1 and Union's Hallie Katzman 8-5.

The women's tennis team has finished the fall season and will be back in action on March 7, 2020, for a non-conference match at Rochester Institute of Technology.
