Women's tennis nets easy win over Union on Thursday evening

The Hamilton College Continentals breezed to a 9-0 non-conference victory against the Union College Dutchwomen inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Thursday evening.

Union was originally scheduled to host the match but it was moved to Hamilton so the teams could play indoors. The Continentals (5-2 overall) are 15th in the Oracle/ITA Division III Northeast Region Women's Rankings.

Hamilton's Sophia Aulicino '21, Audrey Chor '21, Jane Haffer '19, Kat Roberts '22 and Ajla Karabegovic '21 won their singles and doubles matches. Sarah Bargamian '22 was a winner at sixth flight singles and Becca Ingber '22 teamed up with Haffer for a victory at third flight doubles.

Aulicino is 15th in the Northeast Region singles rankings. She cruised to a win at first flight singles and was paired with Chor at first flight doubles. Chor triumphed at second flight singles, Haffer prevailed at third flight singles, and Roberts dropped just one game at fourth flight singles. Karabegovic didn't lose a game at fifth flight singles and her and Roberts blanked their opponents at second flight doubles.

The Continentals host Rochester Institute of Technology for their Children's Heart Awareness Match on Saturday, April 6 at 11:30 a.m.
