Hamilton College's Sophia Aulicino '21 and Audrey Chor '21 advanced all the way to the semifinals of the doubles main draw at the 2018 ITA Division III Women's Northeast Regional Championships in Geneva, N.Y., on Sunday.

The tournament was held at the Hobart/William Smith Tennis Center and Bristol Field House. Aulicino and Chor were the fifth-seeded doubles team at the regional championships. They won two matches on Saturday and upset the second-seeded duo of Liya Davidov and Katrine Luddy from The College of New Jersey 8-5 in the quarterfinals. Aulicino and Chor finally were eliminated in the semifinals by the tournament's No. 3 seed from Vassar College in Frances Cornwall and Tara Edwards (8-5).

Aulicino was also alive in the singles main draw thanks to a pair of victories on Saturday. She took on Skidmore College's Sofia Carlsson in a clash of seeded players in the third round on Sunday morning. The eighth-seeded Aulicino posted a 6-2, 7-5 triumph and moved on to the quarterfinals. Her reward was a meeting with top-seeded Risa Fukushige of Skidmore, and Fukushige recorded a 6-3, 6-2 win. Fukushige went on to capture the singles title on Monday.

Aulicino, Chor and the rest of the women's tennis team have finished the fall season and will be back in action on March 9, 2019 for a NESCAC match at home against Middlebury.
