Women's swimming & diving wraps up NESCAC championships

Several swimmers earned team points for Hamilton College on the third and final day of the 2018 NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at Williams College's Samuelson-Muir Pool on Sunday.

Madeleine Lepesant '19 grabbed eighth place in the consolation final (16th overall) of the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:12.74. Lepesant's time in the preliminary heats was slightly faster at 2:11.85, which was just 1.51 seconds off her personal best.

Jess Halladay '18 ended up in 18th place in the 1,650 freestyle with a personal-best time of 17:53.58. Halladay is in fourth place on the Continentals' top times list.

Emma Raynor '18 finished third in the pre-consolation final (19th overall) of the 200 backstroke in 2:09.11 and Sadie Logan '20 was right behind Raynor in fourth place (20th overall) with a time of 2:09.72. Raynor moved up to fourth place on the top times list and Logan shot up to fifth place from ninth.

Julia Martin '21 took sixth place in the pre-consolation final (22nd overall) of the 200 breaststroke in 2:31.52 and Erin Lewis '18 landed in eighth place (24th overall) with a time of 2:35.59. Lewis recorded a time of 2:32.00 in the preliminary heats.

Martin, Logan, Halladay and Raynor finished eighth in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:35.66. Hamilton wound up in 10th place with 382 team points.
