Women's squash notches 10th win this season

The Hamilton College Continentals tuned up for this weekend's College Squash Association National Team Championships with a 6-3 victory over the William Smith College Herons at William Smith's Smith Squash Center on Tuesday night.

Hamilton (10-7 overall) is 22nd in the Dunlop College Squash Rankings. Five Continentals earned a team point by sweeping their opponents in three games on Tuesday. The 2019 CSA National Team Championships begin on Friday, Feb. 22. The Herons (8-9) are ranked 27th.

Megan Grip '19 was a winner at the second position as she collected her eighth victory this season and the 29th of her Hamilton career. Sydney Soloway '22 outlasted Molly Wachter in five games at the fourth position as Soloway won the fourth and fifth games by 11-6 counts. Soloway's record improved to 9-8.

Liesl Guenther '21 triumphed at the fifth position for her seventh win and Lindsay Jadow '19 ended her sixth position match with a convincing 11-2 decision in the third game. Jadow is second on the team with 12 wins.

Maddie Sakheim '22 moved her record to a team-best 13-4 after winning at the seventh position. Jean Beecher '19 prevailed at the eighth position for her 10th victory this season and her 20th with the Continentals.
