Hamilton College's Sydney Soloway '22 (Weston, Mass./Dana Hall School) was selected the NESCAC Women's Squash Performer of the Week on Monday, Dec. 3.

The performer of the week honor is the first for Soloway. She won both her matches at the fifth position as the Continentals defeated St. Lawrence University 7-2 and edged Mount Holyoke College 5-4 at Hamilton's Little Squash Center on Sunday afternoon.

Soloway's result was the turning point in the Continentals' match against Mount Holyoke. She dropped the first two games, outlasted her opponent 16-14 in the fourth, and clinched the hard-fought win with an 11-6 decision. Soloway saved five match balls in that marathon fourth game. She swept her St. Lawrence opponent in three games (11-1, 11-2, 11-4) and owns a 3-1 record this season.

Soloway and the Hamilton women don't compete again until Jan. 11, 2019, when the Continentals host Franklin & Marshall College at 6 p.m.
