Bobby Kane joined the Hamilton College women's soccer staff as an assistant coach in March 2018. Hamilton posted an overall record of 8-5-3 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NESCAC championship in his first year with the Continentals. Two players made the all-region team and three athletes collected all-conference honors under Kane's guidance.

Kane was an assistant women's soccer coach at Allegheny College in 2017 and coached four athletes who made the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) all-conference team, including the 2017 NCAC Newcomer of the Year. He helped the Gators stay in the hunt for the conference playoffs until the final game of the season.

Kane was an assistant coach for the women's soccer program at SUNY Potsdam in 2015 and 2016. He helped lead the Bears to 18 wins and coached two players to all-SUNYAC team honors.

Kane was a head coach for the FC Freeze from January 2016 through March 2017. He was the junior varsity boys' soccer coach at West Genesee High School in 2014 and head coach of the girls' varsity soccer program at Jordan-Elbridge High School in 2012 and 2013.

Kane received his national license from the U.S. Soccer Federation in August 2014 and earned his Level 5 Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches in February 2013.

Kane was the recipient of the Potsdam men's soccer team's Coaches Award in 2010 after he posted five points (2 goals-1 assist) in 17 games with 12 starts at forward. He has a bachelor's degree from Potsdam and a master's degree in recreation and sport science with a soccer coaching education from Ohio University. Kane hails from Glens Falls, N.Y., and graduated from Glens Falls High School.
