Hamilton College's Caroline Dawson '23 scored a goal and dished out an assist as the Continentals posted a 2-0 NESCAC victory at Connecticut College on Saturday.

The Continentals -- ranked 10th in the New England Region by the NCAA -- conclude the regular season with an overall record of 10-4-1 and a 5-4-1 record in NESCAC play. Conn. College (9-4-1, 4-4-1 NESCAC) is sixth in the region and receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Top 25 poll.

Hamilton grabbed a 1-0 halftime lead after Dawson found the back of the net at 17:11. Cat Gambino '21 received the throw-in out of the left corner and passed inward to Alex Fontana '20 at the top of the arc. Fontana battled between the defenders and found Dawson inside the left side of the box and she floated a shot underneath the crossbar for her fifth goal.

Gambino made it a two-goal lead with her 10th goal of the season. Dawson deked around two Camels at midfield and fed the ball between the line of defenders for the speedy Gambino. Gambino caught up to the ball inside the penalty box and one-timed a left-footed shot off the bottom of the crossbar and into the nylon at 70:02. Gambino leads the NESCAC with 23 points.

Rachel Pike '21 made two saves -- both in the second half -- for her fifth shutout. Katy Pelletier (1 save) started in goal for the Camels and Sarah Williams (8 saves) played the last 67-plus minutes.

Hamilton will compete in the quarterfinals of the 2019 NESCAC Women's Soccer Championship on Saturday, Nov. 2. The Continentals' seeding in the tournament and their opponent will be determined on Wednesday night after Wesleyan University and Conn. College play the final conference matchup of the season.
