Mandy Gamble

Mandy Gamble joined the Hamilton College athletic department staff as head women's tennis coach in February 2022. She previously was the head women’s tennis coach at California Institute of Technology since 2018.
 
Gamble led both the men’s and women’s teams at Caltech from 2001 to 2018. She was the assistant tennis coach at the school during the 2000-01 academic year. She received the men’s tennis coaching staff of the year award from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in 2016 and 2018, and she was named the U.S. Professional Tennis Association Southern California section’s college coach of the year in 2016.
 
Gamble guided her women’s singles players to four appearances and a men’s doubles pairing to one trip to the NCAA Division III Individual Championships. Her women’s team was ranked as high as 18th by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in April 2019, and the men’s team as high as 33rd in 2017 after their first-ever national ranking the year before. She posted three top 15 women’s recruiting classes since 2018 and three top 25 men’s recruiting classes from 2016 to 2018.
 
Gamble has a High Performance Coach certificate from the U.S. Tennis Association. She was a junior tennis development coach at the Pasadena Athletic Club from 1992 to 2001. She was an academic all-American and a member of the all-conference team during her tennis career at Division II Cal State Los Angeles.
 
Gamble has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Cal State Los Angeles, a master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University (Calif.), and a doctorate (ABD) in cultural studies from Claremont Graduate University.
