Deidre Freeman Huff

Deidre Freeman Huff joined the Hamilton College men's and women's swimming & diving coaching staff as an assistant in October 2016. She works with the divers.

Freeman Huff spent the past two seasons as a volunteer assistant diving coach at the University of Iowa. She was the head diving coach at Grinnell College for three seasons prior to working at Iowa. Freeman Huff coached multiple Midwest Conference champions at Grinnell, including Daniel Goldstein, who qualified for the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championship his sophomore year.

A native of Grinnell, Iowa, Freeman Huff was a two-time all-American at Iowa after earning all-Big Ten Conference second team accolades during her senior season. She still holds the program records for the 1- and 3-meter competitions. Freeman Huff was a four-time all-Big Ten Academic Team member.
 
Freeman Huff has been a USA Diving National Team member since 2012 and has competed in individual and synchronized diving events on both the national and international stage. In addition to being a three-time national champion for USA Diving, she won a bronze medal in the 3-meter synchronized diving event at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto.
 
Freeman Huff competed in the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials and also participated in the 2013 FINA World Championships in Barcelona, Spain, where she took part in the 1- and 3-meter individual diving competitions.
