Why Hamilton? I chose Hamilton because I felt from the very beginning that students were at the center of a supportive community that was dedicated to helping them make the most out of their lives. The open curriculum is based on the confidence that students, with the support of an inspired faculty, can make sound decisions. I love playing in such a competitive conference like the NESCAC. Also, it’s great having coaches like PK and HFO who understand that we are student-athletes not athlete-students and make sure that our academic needs always come first. From the second I set foot on campus I knew that Hamilton was the place for me.

Favorite Past Sports Memory: My favorite sports memory was a braveheart I won for my club team. I was honored that my coach had enough confidence in my game to choose me to represent them in the tournament. I was also relieved that I had the presence of mind to pull it off despite losing the draw. I had played with some of my teammates for years and did not want to be the one to let them down.

Who is your role model and what's their relationship to you? My role model is my mom. She’s a pediatrician who always wanted to be a doctor and kept working toward her goal despite the lack of encouragement from academic and medical advisers who couldn’t see past the stereotypes of race and gender.
