Women's lacrosse ranked in coaches poll for first time in 2019

The Hamilton College Continentals are ranked 24th in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll released on Monday, April 1.

Hamilton (4-4 overall) is in the poll for the first time in 2019. Last week the Continentals won 17-7 at SUNY Oneonta and defeated then-No. 24 Skidmore College 12-7 before they were edged 10-8 by No. 21 Bates College. Hamilton also owns a 14-13 victory over No. 14 Bowdoin College this year.

The Continentals have already played six teams ranked in the Top 25 and will play a seventh on Saturday, April 6 when they travel to No. 13 Trinity College for a NESCAC game at noon. Hamilton is second in the conference with 100 caused turnovers and third with 177 ground balls.

Kara Pooley '19 is tied for the NESCAC lead with 15 assists and is 13th with 25 points. Pooley is also second with 16 caused turnovers, fourth with 21 ground balls and sixth with 33 draw controls.
