Women’s basketball travels to Bard for non-conference game

The Hamilton College women's basketball team visits Bard College on Friday, Dec. 8 for a non-conference game at 7 p.m.

The Continentals (7-0 overall) remain unbeaten after a 65-47 win against Union College at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Dec. 6. The Continentals are averaging 63.1 points per contest and rank third in the NESCAC in both free throw percentage (70.4) and rebounds per game (43.4).

Marie Steiner '20 guides the team with a 60.5 field goal percentage and 53.3 three-point percentage, ranking her second and fifth in the NESCAC, respectively. Lauren Getman '18 and Carly O'Hern '20 both average 11.3 points per game. Getman is second on the NESCAC leaderboard with 9.1 rebounds per game, and O'Hern shoots over 40 percent from the floor. Halie Serbent '19 adds 10.4 points and six rebounds per game, and Samantha Srinivasan '18 totals 6.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

The Raptors (0-7) average 41.9 points per game and shoot 27.7 percent from the floor. Bard has a 0-2 Liberty League record with conference losses to Rochester Institute of Technology and then-No. 24 Ithaca College.

Alexis Akingbade leads the team in points per game (10.2), field goal percentage (41.8) and rebounds per game (8.2). Caleigh DeCaprio averages 9.6 points per game and Erin Kennedy adds nine points per contest.

The Continentals faced Bard for the first time last season, defeating the Raptors 64-27 at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.
