Hamilton College's Caitlin Berreitter '20 (Simi Valley, Calif./Simi Valley HS) has been selected for the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District Softball Team for NCAA Division III by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Berreitter is one of 12 softball players honored in District 3, which includes colleges and universities in the state of New York. She has a 3.71 cumulative grade point average and is a government major.

Berreitter is an infielder who primarily plays third base for the Continentals. She leads the NESCAC with five triples and five sacrifice flies and is ranked in the top 10 in runs (34), doubles (11), walks (15), hit by pitch (9), stolen bases (13), on-base percentage (.455) and assists (70). She also hit .360 with a slugging percentage of .544, which is good for 12th in the conference. She holds the team record for most runs scored in a career with 92 and is a two-time member of the NESCAC spring all-academic team.

Berreitter helped lead the softball team to their best season in the program's 35-year history. Hamilton finished with an overall record of 28-10 including 7-5 in the NESCAC West Division. The 7-5 mark and their second-place finish in the division were also the team's best performances in conference history. The Continentals concluded the 2019 season by playing in the NESCAC championship for the first time.
