Men's cross country places third in own short course invite

The Hamilton College Continentals finished third out of 10 teams in the 2019 Hamilton Short Course Cross Country Invitational held on the College's campus on Saturday morning.

Lucas Wright '21 led the Continentals in 10th place out of 143 finishers with a 5-kilometer time of 15:50.2. Chris Davitt of Division II Le Moyne College finished first with a time of 15:32.

Max Steffey '22 finished close behind Wright in 12th place with a time of 15:53.7. Bryce Murdick '20 followed directly after Steffey in 13th place with a time of 15:57.7. AJ Zuckerman '23 crossed the finish line in 30th place with a time of 16:12.6. Chris Skeldon '20 was next in 34th place with a time of 16:18.5. Craig Feist '23 was next in 49th place with a time of 16:34.6. Jed Katzenstein '23 rounded out Hamilton's top seven with a 50th place finish in 16:36.1.

Hamilton College collected a total of 95 team points, just behind Ithaca College's second place total of 91 points. Division II Roberts Wesleyan College won the meet with 20 team points.

The Continentals will race again on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational in Rochester, N.Y.
