Kunzman '20 earns men's track and field all-region indoor honors

Hamilton College's Ty Kunzman '20 (Spencer, N.Y./Notre Dame HS) was recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday, March 9 when the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field All-Region honorees were announced.

The top five individuals in each event from each region and each member of their region's top three relays earned all-region distinction. The regions for this award match those used during the cross country season. Hamilton competes in the Atlantic Region.

Kunzman collected all-region honors in the men's weight throw for the third straight year. He posted the second-best performance in the region with a school-record distance of 18.23 meters (59 feet, 9.75 inches) at Colgate University's Class of '32 Invitational on Feb. 15.

Kunzman will compete in the 2020 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Friday, March 13. He is in the national meet for the first time. The men's weight throw competition is scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
