Kunzman '20 first in weight throw at men's track & field regionals

Hamilton College's Ty Kunzman '20 finished first in the men's 35-pound weight throw on Saturday at the 2019 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Indoor Championships held at Ithaca College's Athletics and Events Center.

Kunzman boasted a distance of 17.60 meters in the weight throw, an event in which he holds the school record at 18.02 meters. He was one of only two athletes to post a distance of more than 17 meters at the regional championships.

Lucas Wright '21 took second place in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.19. Wright was one of two runners who broke the 800-meter meet record. Will Richardson '21 ended up 10th in the 400-meter dash in 51.52 seconds and the quartet of Hugo Frost '22, Richardson, Ryan Sedwick '19 and Jake Bolster '19 landed in 15th place in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:34.47.

The Continentals tied for 14th place out of 40 schools in the team standings with 20 points. Rowan University took home the team title with 59 points.
