Hamilton College men's track and field athletes finished in the top three in eight events in the non-team scoring 2019 Continental Indoor Invitational at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Friday night.
Ty Kunzman '20 led the way with a first place finish in the 35-pound weight throw with a distance of 16.02 meters, surpassing the rest of the field by 1.31 meters.
Three Continentals placed in the top four of the 5,000-meter run. Peter Ross '20 finished in second place with a personal-best time of 16:11.16, followed by Chris Skeldon '20 (16:15.26) in third place and Nick Lyon '22 (16:25.78) in fourth place.
Bryce Murdick '20 blew away his previous best time (9:16.29) in the 3,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 9:03.68 and finished in second place.
Colin Horgan '19 ended up in second place in the mile with a personal-best time of 4:36.88, Chris Davitt of Division II Le Moyne College finished first with a time of 4:31.99. Aaron Kraus '21 also finished with a personal-best time of 1:10.51 in the 500-meter dash to finish in third place.
Ryan Sedwick '19 recorded times of 7.35 seconds in the 60-meter dash and 23.98 seconds in the 200-meter dash to finish third and fourth, respectively. Sedwick posted a faster 60-meter time of 7.29 seconds in the preliminary heats.
Will Richardson '21 was sandwiched between two Le Moyne runners in the 400-meter dash. Richardson finished second with a time of 52.40 seconds, while first place was decided with a time of 51.35 and third place finished in 52.52.
Hamilton attends Utica College's Pioneer Open on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 10:30 a.m.
