Five men’s tennis players go unbeaten at Hamilton Invitational

The Hamilton College Continentals won seven of 10 men's doubles matches and 12 of 16 men's singles matches at their own 2019 Hamilton Tennis Invitational on Oct. 5 and 6. The Continentals played singles against Union College and Ithaca College and took on Union and the University of Rochester in doubles.

Matt Bartok '23, Adam Dietz '23, Rob Dotterer '21, Henry Schwob '22 and Eric Stein '23 all went unbeaten over the weekend.

Stein led the way with two wins in singles and in doubles play. He first defeated Union's Max Egna 8-6 and followed with an 8-5 win over Sam Fried of Ithaca. He inched past a Rochester duo 8-7 (2) alongside Sam Farber '20 and teamed up with Ronnak Saxena '23 to defeat Union's David Bond and Thomas McGuire 8-4.

Dietz won 8-2 against both Jack Andre from Union and Artem Khaybullin from Ithaca. He joined forces with Schwob in doubles play, posting 8-5 and 8-0 victories against Rochester and Union, respectively. Schwob also won his lone singles match 8-7 (5) against Union's Nate Bartlett.

Bartok moved past Ithaca's George Lomas 8-6 and Dotterer downed Union's Cameron Klepper 8-2. The duo teamed up in doubles and won two nail-biters, posting 8-7 (4) wins against Rochester and Union.

The men's tennis team has finished the fall season and will be back in action on March 7, 2020, for a non-conference match at Hobart College.
