Hamilton College's Rob Dotterer '21 reached the quarterfinals of the 2019 ITA Division III Men's Northeast Regional Championships singles main draw on Saturday.

The tournament was held at the Hobart/William Smith Tennis Center and Bristol Field House in Geneva, N.Y. Dotterer was one of the top 16 seeds in the 64-player draw.

After winning two matches on Friday, Dotterer took on Skidmore College's Suraj Mahtani in the third round on Saturday morning. Dotterer rallied from a set down to prevail in three, 3-6, 7-6 (7-2) and 7-5.

Dotterer's victory set up a meeting with top-seeded Alan Dubrovsky of Hobart College in the quarterfinals. Dubrovsky triumphed by scores of 6-1, 6-1, but Dotterer improved his singles record to 7-2 this fall with the three wins this weekend.

The Continentals will wrap up the fall season with their own Hamilton Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5 and 6.
