Men's tennis makes it five straight with win over Brooklyn

The Hamilton College Continentals breezed to their fifth win in a row, an 8-1 rout of Brooklyn College at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida, on Friday morning.

Two Continentals were winners in singles and doubles play. Hamilton (5-1 overall) returns to the courts on Monday, March 25 at noon for another non-conference match against Whitworth University at the USTA National Campus.

Matt May '21 dropped just one game at third flight singles and teamed up with Eamon Gibbons '21 for an 8-2 victory at second flight doubles. Matthew Haas '19 blanked his opponent at fourth flight singles and he and Sam Farber '20 didn't give up a game at third flight doubles. Haas has 28 career singles wins.

Jafar Sharipov '21 triumphed at first flight singles and Josh Caplan '21 and Ben Westcott '20 cruised to victories at fifth and sixth flight singles, respectively. Caplan and Westcott celebrated their first collegiate singles wins. Tim Derby '21 and Lars Scannell '19 prevailed 8-1 at first flight doubles.
