Men's tennis cruises to home win over Union indoors

The Hamilton College Continentals posted a 9-0 non-conference victory against the Union College Dutchmen inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Thursday.

Both teams have an overall record of 3-8. All three of the Continentals' wins have come by 9-0 scores. Hamilton hosts SUNY Oneonta for another non-conference match on Saturday, April 14 at noon.

Four Continentals were winners in singles and doubles action. Sam Farber '20 picked up his eighth singles victory this season with a win in first flight action and improved to 7-5 with doubles partner Rob Dotterer '21 in a first flight match. Dotterer evened his singles record at 9-9 with a win at the second flight.

Max Zimmerman '21 and Tim Derby '21 improved to 5-3 as a doubles pairing with their win at second flight. Zimmerman collected his team-high 10th singles win and Derby recorded his ninth at the third and fourth flights, respectively.

Matt May '21 and Eamon Gibbons '21 have two victories as a pairing after their win at third flight doubles. Eyad Nagori '18 is 5-2 in singles play and has 22 career victories after his win at fifth flight. Jafar Sharipov '21 triumphed at sixth flight singles and has eight wins this season.
