Wilkins '22 a winner in men's swim meet with RIT

Hamilton College's Nick Wilkins '22 captured first place in the 100-yard breaststroke, but the Continentals dropped a dual meet against the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers at Hamilton's Bristol Pool on Saturday afternoon.

The loss was the first in five dual meets for the Continentals this season. RIT prevailed with 203 team points to 77 for Hamilton. The Continentals travel for a training trip and then take on Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m.

Wilkins' time in the 100 breast was 59.09 seconds. He was also runner-up in the 200 breast (2:12.00). Emilio Vicioso '23 was right behind Wilkins in the 100 breast with a time of 59.97 seconds. 

Evan Tatro '20 landed in second place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.42 seconds, in the 50 freestyle in 22.31 seconds and in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.33 seconds.

Nate Hays '23 grabbed second place in the 400 individual medley (4:27.32). Will Brindisi '22 finished a close third in the 200 free (1:51.40) and took third place in the 200 back (2:06.07). Alex Clark '22 ended up in third place in the 100 free with a time of 50.70 seconds.
