Men's squash moves on to Conroy Cup final after 6-3 win over Chatham

The Hamilton College Continentals posted a 6-3 victory against Chatham University in a Conroy Cup (D Division) semifinal at the 2020 College Squash Association National Men's Team Championships held at Harvard University on Saturday morning.

Hamilton (11-10 overall) won for the seventh time in its last eight matches. The Continentals -- seeded second in the Conroy Cup draw -- advance to the Cup final where they will take on top-seeded Dickinson College at Harvard on Sunday, March 1 at 11 a.m. Sixth-seeded Chatham (13-7) was edged 5-4 by Hamilton at Franklin & Marshall College on Jan. 12.

Tristan Chaix '20 won the first, third and fifth games in a thrilling match at the fourth position. Chaix has 37 career victories at Hamilton. Nicholas Conzelman '20 captured the first two games and outlasted his opponent in five at the sixth position for his 10th triumph this season.

Aaron Hadar '23 dropped the first game but stormed back to win in four at the fifth position. Hadar is tied for second on the team with 11 victories. Tripp Peters '23 surrendered just four points at the seventh position and also won his 11th match.

William Jordan '20 improved his record to 14-7 with a three-game sweep at the eighth position that included an 11-0 decision in the third game. Oliver Constable '22 shut out his opponent in the second game and also prevailed in three at the ninth position. Constable has 11 wins this season.
