Suratt '23 wins at first position for men's squash in NESCAC championship

The Bowdoin College Polar Bears defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 8-1 in the first round of the 2020 NESCAC Men's Squash Championship at Bowdoin's Lubin Family Squash Center on Friday.

Hamilton (7-10 overall) is the 10th seed for the championship while the Polar Bears are the seventh seed. The Continentals take on No. 11 seed Wesleyan University in the consolation round on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 8:30 a.m. at Bowdoin.

Tate Suratt '23 outlasted Deven Kenwal in five games at the first position for his seventh victory this season. Kenwal won the second and third games and, with his back against the wall, Suratt pulled out an exciting 13-11 decision in the fourth game. Suratt clinched the win by taking the fifth game 11-6.

Three Hamilton seniors extended their matches to four games before they eventually fell to their Polar Bear opponents.
