The Hamilton College Continentals posted a 7-2 victory against Georgetown University in the Chaffee Cup quarterfinals at the 2019 College Squash Association National Team Championships held at Wesleyan University's Rosenbaum Squash Center on Friday.

Hamilton (4-12 overall) will play Fordham University in a semifinal at Wesleyan on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11:30 a.m. The Continentals dropped a 6-3 decision against Fordham at Hamilton's Little Squash Center back on Jan. 26.

In the quarters, four matches were decided in four games and four more were extended to five games between the Continentals -- 35th in the Dunlop College Squash Rankings -- and No. 38 Georgetown (4-5). Hamilton's Tristan Chaix '20 was the only player to dispatch his opponent in three straight games as he accomplished the feat at the fourth position.

Callum Sondhi '20 won the first two games and closed his match 11-3 in the fourth game at the first position. Atticus Jones '19 dropped the first game at the second position, but rallied for a 15-13 victory in the second and went on to win in four.

Rufus Somerby '22 notched his team-leading seventh win after he outlasted his opponent in five games at the third position. Oliver Constable '22 was edged 14-12 in the second game at the fifth position before he closed out the match by easily winning the next two.

Will Nocito '22 squeaked by his opponent 12-10 in the fifth game at the eighth position, and Nick Randolph '21 went through a roller-coaster ride at the ninth position on the way to his third victory. Randolph won his first two games, dropped the next two, and cruised 11-2 in the fifth and deciding game.
