Hamilton College wrapped up the 2018 College Squash Association Men's National Team Championships with a 6-3 win against Connecticut College in the Conroy Cup (D Division) consolation bracket final at Wesleyan University's Rosenbaum Squash Center on Sunday morning.

The Continentals (10-12 overall) started the weekend at No. 27 in the Dunlop College Squash Rankings and will finish the season ranked 29th. Connecticut College was 29th going into the weekend. The teams had already split a pair of matches this season.

Five matches went to four games and another was extended to the full five games. Hamilton swept the top three spots on the ladder.

Colin O'Dowd '19 and Callum Sondhi '20 swept their opponents at the first and second positions, respectively. O'Dowd led the Continentals with 14 wins this season and has 37 for his Hamilton career. He was named to the NESCAC all-conference team earlier last week. Sondhi increased his win total to 11 matches.

John Sawyers '21 dropped his first game at the third position but won the next three, including 12-10 in the fourth game. Sawyers posted 10 victories in his first season.

Like Sawyers, Atticus Jones '19 and Ward Urban '18 won in four games after losing the first one. Jones went 3-0 during the weekend at the sixth position. Urban posted his first triumph of the weekend at the eighth position.

William Jordan '20 fell behind two games-to-one at the ninth position but recovered to win the match by capturing the fourth and fifth games. Jordan joined Jones as the only Continentals to win all three of their matches during the weekend. Jordan ended up second on the team to O'Dowd with 13 victories.

The CSA National Individual Championships at George Washington University is the last event on Hamilton's 2017-18 schedule. The three-day event begins on Friday, March 2.
