Wood racked up 10 points in two wins and a tie for the Continentals last week. He was named the NESCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week on Monday.

The 6-foot, 1-inch forward started the week with two goals and an assist in a 5-0 non-conference victory at SUNY Polytechnic on Oct. 8. He scored the first goal and assisted on the other in the second half of a 2-0 NESCAC win at Trinity College on Saturday. He converted a penalty kick in the 51st minute for the tying goal of Hamilton's 1-1 draw with nationally ranked No. 1 Tufts University on Sunday at Love Field.

Wood scored one goal in September but has exploded for five in five matches this month. He is tied for second in the conference with those six goals and is tied for third with 14 points.

The Continentals (5-5-2, 2-3-2 NESCAC) have four wins and two ties in their last six matches and have outscored their opponents 13-1 during that stretch. Hamilton hosts Wesleyan University (4-4-3, 1-3-3) for another conference match at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. Wood and six other seniors will be recognized before the contest as it's the last home match this fall for the Continentals.
