Hamilton College's Greg Zimmerman '22 scored the first goal of his collegiate career and the Continentals posted a 2-0 victory over the Colby College Mules in Waterville, Maine on Saturday afternoon.

Hamilton (4-5-1 NESCAC), currently seventh in the conference standings, closes the regular season with an 8-6-1 overall record. Colby (6-6-2, 2-5-2 NESCAC) is ninth in the standings and faces Bates College in its final NESCAC game of the season on Oct. 24. The top eight teams qualify for the NESCAC championship.

The Continentals held a 1-0 advantage at halftime after Jack Sheehan '21 took a free kick from midfield, sailed the ball to the top of the goal area and Greg Zimmerman '22 headed the ball past Dan Carlson (seven saves) at 31:05.

Roth Wetzel '22 doubled the lead in the 86th minute with the second goal of his Hamilton career. The Continentals surged into the offensive end following a Colby corner kick. Wetzel maneuvered around the defender from the left corner to the top of the box and fired the ball inside the back post.
