Hamilton College forward Aidan Wood '20 (Ipswich, Mass./Waring School) was named the NESCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week on Monday, Oct. 30.

Wood set a NESCAC men's soccer championship record with three goals and tied the championship mark with six points in the Continentals' 4-3 quarterfinal win against nationally ranked No. 10 Amherst College on Saturday, Oct. 28. Wood recorded his first three-goal game at Hamilton. He is tied for the conference lead with eight goals and tops the NESCAC with 19 points this year.

The Continentals posted their first win against the Mammoths in 10 meetings -- the teams played to a tie earlier this fall and in 2013. Seventh-seeded Hamilton trailed No. 2 seed Amherst 2-0 on Saturday but Wood helped the Continentals rally by scoring in the 62nd, 75th and 85th minutes. His final goal broke a 3-3 tie and sent Hamilton to the NESCAC semifinals for the second straight year.

The Continentals (8-6-2 overall) travel to Medford, Mass., where they will play Tufts University in one semifinal on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. Tufts is the championship's top seed and is the host for the semifinals as well as Sunday's NESCAC final.
