Just two days after picking up their first NESCAC win in two years, the Hamilton College Continentals will make the short trip to Utica College's Charles A. Gaetano Stadium and play for the Contineer Cup on Monday, March 11 at 5 p.m.

Hamilton (1-1 overall) has defeated the Pioneers for the traveling trophy eight straight years, including an 18-5 rout in 2018. So far this season the Continentals have split a pair of conference games at home with a 20-11 loss against then-nationally ranked No. 5 Tufts on March 2 followed by a 17-9 victory over Colby on Saturday.

Hamilton still has four NESCAC games at home on the remaining 2019 schedule. Amherst visits the Continentals on March 23 and Trinity comes to Hamilton on April 6. The Continentals play Williams on Withiam Field under the lights on April 9 and Hamilton will honor its 11 seniors prior to its game with Connecticut College on April 13.

Attackmen Henry Hunt '20 and Chad Morse '19 lead the offense thus far with nine points apiece. Hunt has a team-high eight goals but Morse isn't far behind with seven. Midfielder Zach Larsen '19 tops the Continentals with five assists and has seven points. Midfielders Henry Hill '19 and Chris Conley '20 have scored five and four goals, respectively.

Quin Crowley '22, who has taken the majority of the faceoffs thus far, has some big shoes to fill at the X. Eric Zurmuehle '18 won more than 550 faceoffs in 49 games from 2015 to 2018.

Max Scheidl '21 appeared in just two games last year but has played all but three-plus minutes in goal in 2019. Kyle Gately '20 is ready to step in if needed after he finished fourth in the conference with 175 saves in 2018.

Hamilton's top seven point producers from a year ago are all back in 2019. Morse led the way with 26 goals and 33 points and Conley added 26 points on 16 goals and 10 assists. Clay McCollum '19 was second on the team with 20 goals and the three-year starter at attack entered this season with 73 goals and 20 assists in 45 games. Larsen paced the Continentals with 13 assists, Hill scored 15 goals and Hunt found the back of the net 12 times. Midfielder Brock Bowers '20 chipped in nine points on three goals and six helpers.

Most of the regulars on defense are back this year as well. James Sanderson '21 is the leading returner with 34 ground balls and also caused 10 turnovers. Rob Arrix '19 (eight CT) and John Ennis '19 (seven CT) were starters, and Andrej Bogdanovics '19 (nine CT) was the Continentals' top long-stick midfielder. Austin Scronce '21 should also be in the mix for playing time.

The team captains are Bogdanovics, Morse, midfielder Christian Hansson '19 and defenseman Lantz Kilburn '20. Head coach Scott Barnard has 77 wins in his 13th year at Hamilton.
