Men’s lacrosse wraps up regular season at home

The Hamilton College men's lacrosse team hosts Hartwick College on Tuesday, April 24 at 6 p.m. for a non-conference game on Withiam Field.

Hamilton (1-13 overall) is coming off an 8-7 loss to nationally ranked No. 5 Wesleyan University in NESCAC action on Saturday afternoon. Clay McCollum '19 led the Continentals with a season-high three goals against the Cardinals to increase his season total to 15 goals.

Chad Morse '19 extended his point streak to all 14 games this season with an assist on Saturday. Morse guides the team with 23 goals and 30 points. Chris Conley '20 has 16 goals, nine assists and 30 ground balls. Zach Larsen '19 has a team-best 12 assists. Eric Zurmuehle '18 has won 52.5 percent (149-284) of the faceoffs that he has taken with 86 ground balls. Matt Greene '18 totals 17 caused turnovers and 26 ground balls, and Kyle Gately '20 holds a 13.39 goals against average and 49.0 save percentage through 779-plus minutes in goal.

Hartwick (8-3) has won two straight Empire 8 conference games by posting a 19-3 score against Utica College on April 18 and dropping Elmira College 14-1 on April 21. The Continentals defeated Utica 18-5 back on March 7 in the eighth annual Contineer Cup.

Brett Maguire guides the Hawks with 18 assists and 29 points. Cordell Armstrong has 19 goals and Sam Ferguson has 18. David Bianculli holds a 42.7 (85-199) faceoff percentage. Eric Schweitzer has 68 ground balls, and Garrison Wojtas has caused 32 turnovers. C.J. Alsandrini (5.83 GAA, 59.5 save pct.) is the primary goaltender with over 504 minutes in goal

Hamilton's Jack Gaul '18 scored with 1:52 left in the fourth quarter to lift the Continentals to an 11-10 win against Hartwick last season in Oneonta, N.Y.
