Hamilton College's Chris Browne '20 stopped all 36 shots he faced and the Continentals tied the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds 0-0 in a non-conference game played at Skidmore's Saratoga Springs Ice Rink on Saturday night.

Hamilton (3-5-2 overall) also played to a 2-2 deadlock against the Thoroughbreds at Clinton Arena on Friday. The Continentals' last scoreless tie was on Feb. 18, 2018, at Williams College.

Skidmore (7-2-4) received votes in the most recent USCHO.com Division III Top 15 poll that was released on Dec. 9. The Thoroughbreds are unbeaten in their last seven games (4-0-3). Brandon Kasel made 30 saves, including 14 in the third period and four more in overtime, for Skidmore.

Browne picked up the shutout -- Hamilton's third in 10 games this season -- in his first start and first action of any kind for the Continentals. He was tested early and often as he turned away 15 shots in the first period and 12 more in the second. Browne made a pair of tough back-to-back saves in the first 30 seconds of overtime. Joey Moore '22 won 13 of 24 faceoffs.

Hamilton killed three Thoroughbred power-play opportunities including a 5-on-3 situation for 33 seconds early in the second period. The Continentals had the best scoring chance of the evening late in the second. Sean Thomson '23 had a clear breakaway from his own blue line but Kasel calmly came out to make the save. Hamilton had a 2-on-1 off a turnover with 5:30 left in the third period but Kasel came up big again.

The Continentals return to NESCAC play on Friday, Jan. 10 when they travel to Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, for a 7 p.m. start.
