Senior defenseman Stephen Cochrane '20 scored the first two goals of his Hamilton College career and the Continentals posted a 2-0 non-conference win against the Bryn Athyn College Lions at Hamilton's Russell Sage Rink on Sunday night.

Hamilton evens its overall record at 1-1. Sean Storr '22 made 23 saves for his first collegiate shutout.

Cochrane scored his first goal of the night at 14:43 in the first period. Just nine seconds after Hamilton's power play expired, Justin Felhaber '21 swung the puck around Bryn Athyn's net to Jordi Jefferson '22 along the boards, and Jefferson turned and found Cochrane at the right point. Cochrane deked around a defender and wristed a shot through traffic and inside the back-left corner of the net.

After a scoreless second period, Cochrane gave Hamilton a two-goal advantage. Bryn Athyn (2-2-1 overall) attempted to clear the puck out of its defensive zone but Cade Groton '23 intercepted the puck along the boards, attacked the net and fired a shot that bounced off the left leg of McKenzie Chalmers (24 saves). The rebound skidded out to Cochrane at the point and he one-timed a slap shot into the upper-right corner with 11:32 left in the third.

Hamilton hosts NESCAC opponent Wesleyan University on Friday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.
