Washco netted his first goal at 17:11 in the first period, giving Bowdoin a 1-0 lead after one period of play. The Polar Bears were on the power play as they maneuvered the puck around the offensive zone. Bradley Ingersoll passed to Graham Rutledge at the top of the left circle, Rutledge split the defenders with a pass through the slot to Washco and he one-timed the puck into the upper-left corner.
Rutledge doubled the visitors' lead with the eventual game-winner at the 12:00 mark of the second period. With a Hamilton player in the penalty box, Bowdoin immediately won the faceoff to the left of Tirabassi. Ingersoll fired a shot on goal that was turned away by Tirabassi but Rutledge managed to tuck away the rebound.
The Polar Bears tacked on another goal in the second period by Ronnie Lestan at 19:17 before Washco scored his second at 11:46 in the third for a 4-0 lead.
Bennett Morrison '20 put Hamilton on the scoreboard with 4:23 remaining when he ripped a wrist shot from the point that clanged off the right post and into the nylon. Josh Labonte '21 and Sterling Bray '20 picked up the assists.
