Men's golf places 10th at Williams Fall Invitational

Hamilton College finished in 10th place out of 19 teams at the 2017 Williams Men's Golf Fall Invitational, which was held at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass., on Sept. 23 and 24.

Joe Tigani '18 led the Continentals as he tied for 12th place out of 94 golfers at 8-over 150. Tigani carded a 77 on Saturday and fired a final-round 73, which was the best round by a Hamilton player all weekend. All eight of his rounds this fall have been in the 70s and his stroke average is just above 75.

Bobby Osborn '20 tied for 38th place at 158 after his 5-over 76 on Sunday. Andrew Watson '19, who shot 77 in the opening round, ended up in a tie for 44th place one shot behind Osborn. Jeremy Benjamin '19 added a 79 on the last day.

The Continentals recorded a four-man team score of 317 on Saturday and followed that up with a 309 on Sunday for a tournament total of 626. Trinity captured the team title with a 584, Williams was the runner-up at 589 and Western New England University took third place at 601.

Next up for the Hamilton men is the NESCAC championship qualifier hosted by Trinity on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
