CoSIDA Academic All-America Men's Basketball Team release

Gilmour is one of five student-athletes on the first team and one of 15 on the academic all-America squad. He made the CoSIDA academic all-district team each of the past two seasons. Fourteen Hamilton student-athletes have racked up 16 academic all-America honors since 1978. The team recognizes student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions including NCAA Division III.

Gilmour is a government major with a cumulative grade point average of 3.70. He was voted to the all-NESCAC first team for a third time and he will make his third NESCAC winter all-academic team. He finished the season with a scoring average of 22.0 points per game as he started and played in 24 contests. Gilmour is currently 27th in Division III in points per game, and he finished his career in fifth place on the team's all-time list with 1,935 points. He averaged 5.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 steals this season. Gilmour led the Continentals to an overall record of 16-9 and a fourth straight NESCAC championship quarterfinal appearance.

All student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better and participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games in order to be eligible for academic all-American.
